Bulgaria has offered NATO three bases for exercises. It was announced by the President Rosen Plevneliev, summing up the first working day of the NATO forum, reports the ITAR-TASS news agency.
"NATO will not place its permanent bases on the Bulgarian territory. But the plan of protection supply for Romania and Bulgaria in case of possible threat, adopted by the Alliance is very important for our country."
The Bulgarian leader also said that there would be offered Novo Selo, Koren and Shabla polygons for the NATO exercises, and the state was obliged to provide "a little bit more funding" than it has been allocated for the organization of the exercises.
Besides, the Bulgarian leader said that his country allocated about 250 thousand euros for the treatment fund of the Ukrainian military.
Plevneliev also expressed his support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine. "Only the Ukrainian people have the right to choose how to live and determine their own future," said the president of Bulgaria.
