The former Ukrainian officials Viktor Yanukovych, Mykola Azarov, Viktor Pshonka and the members of their families received Russian citizenship, says the Adviser to the Interior Minister of Ukraine Anton Heraschenko.
"The families of Yanukovych, Pshonka and Azarov managed to agree with Putin on receiving the Russian citizenship, so now they can feel comfortable. I learned from the operational sources that the betrayers of Ukraine received citizenship by special secret decree of Russian President Putin as a reward for faithful service on the collapse of national security, defense, law, order system and the economy", Heraschenko wrote on his Facebook page.
The Advisor to the Interior Minister of Ukraine noted that, according to the Russian constitution, "Russia does not "tip" any of its citizens, even if they are serial killers and maniacs".
"By the way, as well as Ukraine", he added.
In this regard, Heraschenko noted that he is the supporter of the idea of changing the Constitution and laws "in terms of depriving the betrayers of citizenship".
Meanwhile, the Russian Federal Migration Service refused to comment on the information provided by Heraschenko, reports RIA Novosti.
The former president Viktor Yanukovych, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, former Interior Minister Vitaly Zakharchenko and other officials fled from Ukraine after the mass executions of people in February at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv. Ukraine opened criminal proceedings against them.
