Press secretary of the Ukrainian President Svyatoslav Tsegolko and MP Iryna Gerashchenko posted on Facebook the details of the release of Ukrainian journalist. Maria Varfolomeyeva has been held by the militants the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” for 14 months, Joinfo.ua reports.

Militants postponed exchanged many times or disrupted it deliberately. In order to release Maria, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko pardoned a Russian citizen, who was transferred today to the occupied territory of eastern Ukraine.
