Emilia Clarke’s comments confirm she will certainly star in the final season; however her assertion she would not appear in any potential sequels suggest the Mother Of Dragons might not survive past the final end credits, Joinfo.com reports with reference to The Daily Mail.

‘I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else,’ she said. ‘But I am doing one more season. And then that’ll be it.’

Showruners for the HBO epic series, based on George RR Martin’s fantasy novels, have already confirmed just two seasons remain.

The London-born actress also confirmed what trailer-consuming fans already know; that Daenerys Stormborn would finally return to Westeros for her fated push for the Iron Throne, which was usurped from her father before she was born.

‘Spoiler alert – I normally don’t spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there,’ she revealed.

Northern Ireland is where the vast majority of Westeros scenes are set; Clarke’s character has spent almost all of the previous six seasons in neighboring continent Essos, shot mainly in the sunnier climes of Morocco in the real world.

She continued that season seven is ‘a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you’re like, “Oh, my God. I forgot about that!”

‘Rumors are going to be confirmed or denied,’ she added.

While the Khaleesi has gone from a frightened teenage sex prisoner to a continent-conquering warlord, Emilia conceded she has evolved herself over the decade of playing her.

‘You don’t get to be a mother of dragons without a change or two,’ she said. ‘Being able to encompass and understand the kind of woman who could conquer armies and topple societies allows me, the actor, to stand firmly in those shoes.’

While she did let slip some GOT spoilers, she was even more worried about spilling any hints for the upcoming Star Wars young Han Solo spin-off, in which her role has yet to be revealed.

‘All I can say is that she’s awesome,’ she said of her as-yet-unnamed character in the as-yet-unnamed film.

‘Like, legit, that’s all I can actually get away with saying. There’s a stormtrooper with a gun, and he’s going to come walking in any second.’

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16.
