According to Deadline, Matt Damon will play a key role again. It is assumed that the movie will be released on July 16, 2016. The director Paul Greengrass can return to the project.

As the publication explained, the date of the premiere coincides with the probable release of the movie about Aaron Cross, the spin-off that began with "The Bourne Legacy" movie. Deadline notes that probably the "Legacy" sequel will be released the other day, and the director Justin Lin will have time to take a few series of "True Detective" for HBO Channel. A new movie with Matt Damon has not received an official name yet.

Jason Bourne is a character of the novel series by American writer Robert Ludlum, a former CIA officer, who lost his memory. The hero became famous thank to the trilogy filmed by Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity") and Paul Greengrass ("The Bourne Supremacy", "The Bourne Ultimatum"). The first film with Matt Damon in the lead role was released in 2002, the sequels came out every two years. In 2012, there was released "The Bourne Legacy" spin-off with Jeremy Renner the plot of which unfolds in parallel to the storyline of the last trilogy movie.
