“About 17.30 invaders launched an offensive on positions near Avdiyivka industrial area using the 152mm artillery and 120mm mortars,” the Anti-Terrorist Operation Headquarters said in a statement, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Ukrainska Pravda.
It also noted that “despite the achieved agreement on a ceasefire to repair the damaged power grids in Avdiyivka town, Russian-occupation forces flagrantly violated the regime of silence.”
“Such actions proved once again that the enemy deliberately disrupts repair works to aggravate humanitarian problems in the town,” – stressed the HQ.
“As of 6 p.m. February 3, 44 people were evacuated from Avdiivka including 19 children, they were sent to recreation house “Perlyna of Donetsk” in Sviatohirsk town,” the message says.
244 people were evacuated from the town in total, 40 of them were elderly people and 114 were children.
The Donetsk region authorities are focused on restoring the houses in the private sector, damaged by shelling. This was announced on Facebook by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi.
“Now our every effort is focused on repair works in the private sector of Avdiyivka and providing its residents with food. Also, we invited locals to the construction crews to repair the damaged houses and infrastructure, ” said Pavlo Zhebrivskyi.

According to UNIAN, militants made 115 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian army in Donbas on Friday, February 3.
ATO HQ reported that three Ukrainian soldiers killed and seven wounded over the past 24 hours.
In the Donetsk sector of the ATO area, the Russia’s hybrid military forces fired from BM-21 Grad MLRS multiple rocket launchers on the village of Halytsynivka, from 152mm and 122mm artillery systems and 120mm and 82mm mortars on the town of Avdiyivka and the villages of Luhanske, Troyitske, and Zaitseve. The occupiers repeatedly used tanks when shelling Avdiyivka and the villages of Pisky, Kam’ianka and Luhanske. The enemy also opened fire from small arms on the village of Zaitseve.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants used Grad BM-21 multiple rocket launchers as well as 152mm and 122mm artillery systems to shell the village of Talakivka. The towns of Krasnohorivka and Mar’inka, as well as the villages of Vodiane, Lebedynske, Novotroyitske, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne, and Chermalyk came under fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars. The enemy also fired from rocket-propelled grenades on the village of Hnutove, while a sniper was active near Pavlopil. Vodiane and Lebedynske were attacked by an infantry fighting vehicle, Chermalyk came under fire of assault antitank weapons, while Shyrokyne was attacked by an infantry fighting vehicle and a tank.
In the Luhansk sector, the occupiers used 152mm and 122 mm artillery systems as well as 120mm and 82 mortars to shell the town Popasna and the villages of Troyitske, Novooleksandrivka, and Novozvanivka. They fired rocket-propelled grenades and small arms on the villages of Krymske and Katerynivka. The villages of Stanytsia Luhanska and Valuyske came under fire from grenade launchers, while a sniper was active there as well. The militants also fired anti-aircraft guns on Troyitske.
