A Russia-made ZALA 421-04M unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was downed by Ukrainian troops of the Anti Terrorist Operation near the village of Novoselivka, Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region, according to the information released by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Joinfo.ua reports.
It took several hours to get the drone, because it fell on a mine field.
This drone was designed for surveillance in adverse weather conditions and delivering small cargoes.
As Colonel Lysenko stressed at the briefing, the number of enemy attacks on Ukrainian positions has increased dramatically after each flight of enemy UAVs in the ATO area.
Now the SBU specialists are examining the data on the drone’s storage devices.
