On April 15, militants decreased shelling and hostile activity along the front line in the area of the Anti Terrorist Operation. Thus, yesterday, the total number of attacks on strongholds of the Ukrainian army dropped to 61, compared over 100 as of the day before, said the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at the briefing in the Information Center of the Ukraine’s National Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.
Militant snipers did not fire yesterday too. However, mercenaries continue firing mortars and armored vehicles, especially in the afternoon till midnight.
In the Luhansk sector, the enemy continues to shell on the positions of the Ukrainian troops near Stanytsia Luhanska. In the afternoon, hostile armored vehicle attacked a stronghold of the ATO forces between the village of Krymske and Tryohizbenka. Some enemy provocations with the use of small arms and grenade launchers were recorded near Schastia, Krymske and Popasna.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy activity dropped by more than half – to 33 attacks, compared to 74 on the previous day. But still, Avdiyivka remains the area of most activity of the militants. Powerful mortar shelling continues around the clock.
Also, militant activity decreased in the vicinity of Horlivka. Militants adhered the truce near Zaitseve, which has been a “hot point” for the recent weeks. However, militants fired an armored vehicle on the Ukrainian positions northwest of the occupied Horlivka near the village of Leninske for a half an hour.
Enemies conducted several provocations near the village of Verhnetoretske and the Donetsk Airport.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy does not stop shelling with mortars on Ukrainian positions near Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka. They again used 82mm mortars near the villages of Taramchuk and Berezove, Mar’insky district. They also released two 120 mm shells on positions of the ATO forces near Starohnativka and Shyrokyne. In total, militants 20 times violated the ceasefire in the Mariupol sector of the ATO area.
During the past day of hostilities two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action.
