“Pavlo Klimkin was informed that the Russian side have been taken steps in order to meet the request of Ukrainian physicians for visiting Nadia Savchenko as an exception, based on the principles of humanism. Judge of the Donetsk сity сourt [of Russia’s Rostov region] at the hearing, was willing to give Ukrainian doctors access to the defendant on March 9. However Savchenko’s defiant behavior at the trial and her offensive remarks to the court changed the situation, making it impossible to carry out such a visit,”- Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said also that the judge ruled to cancel all visits to Nadia until the verdict announcenent on March 21.
“As to the health condition of Nadia Savchenko… Savchenko feels fine, she has physical activity. She is under constant monitoring of Russian doctors,” – Russian MFA informed.
