Here is the official statement of Major General Boris Kremenetskyi, the head from Ukrainian side of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Centre on Ceasefire and Stabilization at the Contact Line (JCMC):
“Despite significant efforts of the Ukrainian side to keep the silence mode at the contact line, the militants of illegal armed groups of the particular districts of Donetsk region cynically continue to ignore the conditions of the ceasefire. Members of illegal armed groups show aggression and commit provocative shellings at the ATO positions with small arms, heavy machine gun and grenade launchers. Thus, trying to provoke the Armed Forces of Ukraine to open fire in response and violate Minsk Agreements. Recently, the number of provocative shelling at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine increased. In particular, over the past day situation on the contact line has undergone a certain tension. The situation is particularly acute in Donetsk airport site and in the village of Pisky, where militants shelled at our positions from multiple directions. Ukrainian duty shift of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Centre (JCMC) repeatedly made attempts to cease the fire. Unfortunately, the militants ignored the “traditional” addresses of the Russian duty shift of JCMC. The bombardment subsided at 03:30 in the morning after persistent appeals of the head of the Ukrainian side of JCMC to his Russian counterpart to use “traditional” influence on the militants and make them to cease the fire. Meanwhile, the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE has been informed about these attacks.
Ukrainian side of JCMC is currently preparing the relevant proposals for possible consideration and thorough investigation of this issue within the framework of the Trilateral contact group. Ukrainian side of JCMC consider the shellings at positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the withdrawal of weapons as cynical attempts to break the Minsk agreements and show the reluctance of the militants and their sponsors to fulfill their obligations.”
It should be recalled also that the authorities of the so-called DPR withdrawn the accreditation of an independent international organization Doctors without Borders (MSF) in their territory. In a notification letter to the members of the MSF, the so-called DPR authority without explanation asked urgently to stop working in the occupied territory. In LPR the presence of Doctors without Bordersis also under threat, since the self-proclaimed leaders of “republic” began revisions of their activity.
