The Russian President Vladimir Putin’ speech was scheduled on Monday, September 28. And already on Sunday September 27, activists will come to the Russian UN mission headquarters to express their stance against Russian politics. Then on Monday, September 28, they will come to UN headquarters in New York with the slogans and demands to release political prisoners, restore the sovereign borders of Ukraine and to establish an international tribunal for MH17. Protests were initiated by the representatives of Ukrainian Diaspora of the U.S., Joinfo.ua reports.
The activists spread information about upcoming protests in social networks with the call to stop Russian aggression.
“Russian aggression during the recent incursions into Ukraine and Georgia in an attempt to redraw the map of Europe is an open challenge to the very foundations of international law and democratic values. All the current development of the nations that were victims of the Russian and Soviet expansion, is now in danger,” – activists said in the appeal.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has arrived in New York for participation in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly. The Head of State will deliver a speech at the General Debate of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, September 29.
