Ukraine has prepared new sanctions against Russia for the occupation of Crimea, said the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the television channel ICTV.
“The package of sanctions is prepared. I personally signed it and sent to the Cabinet of Ministers. I very much hope that in the near future it will be finalized and approved,” Klimkin informed the TV program Svoboda Slova (‘Freedom of Speech’ – Ed.)
The minister assured that no one would ever invest in occupied Crimea. “And so, Crimea will return to Ukraine. And I claim that it will happen much sooner than many expect,” said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
It should be recalled that on July 30 the U.S. Department of the Treasury has expanded the anti-Russian sanctions. The Department has imposed new sanctions against Russia, extending the restrictive measures against 11 Russian and 15 Ukrainian citizens and companies.
