As it turns out, the most dangerous countries in the world are close to us, the Ukrainians. Thus, according to the rating of the safest countries in the world, Russia takes the tenth position from the end with the end of the list. The rating was compiled by an international group of the Institute of Peace, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Russian Service of BBC.
In the Global Peace Index the country appears between North Korea and Nigeria, taking the 152th place out of 162 possible. Syria, followed by Iraq and Afghanistan was recognized as the most dangerous country.
The top ten most dangerous countries in the world also include South Sudan, Central African Republic, Somalia, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan and North Korea. Given military actions on its territory Ukraine took the 12th position from the end.
Experts consider Iceland as the safest country. The second position goes to Denmark, and the third to Austria. The first ten safest countries include mostly European countries. The only exceptions are Canada (7th place) and Australia (9th place).
The U.S. got the 94th position, and the UK – 39th. In Latin America, the title of the safest country went to Chile (29th place in the global rating), and in Africa – Botswana (31th).
The Global Peace Index rating was formed in 2007. While making the list there are taken into account 23 factors, which include both internal factors as crime situation and external ones as international relations of the country and military spending.
