According to Dmitry Peskov, in the coming weeks Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning a trip to Crimea, but his visit to the peninsula in August can not be excluded, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the Russian media.
“Nothing can be ruled out in August, but in the coming he’s not planning anything like that. He has a lot of other trips,” he told to reporters.
Also, Peskov replied negatively to the question of whether Putin visited Crimea at the weekend. “No, he was not there,” he said.
It should be recalled that President Vladimir Putin visited annexed Crimea twice: in August 2014 he had an operative meeting with the members of the “Security Council” in Sevastopol and a meeting with the deputies of the State Duma in Yalta, and on May 9, 2014 he attended the illegal Naval and Air Victory parade in Sevastopol.
