The Russian businessmen are willing to invest in the Odessa region under the leadership of Mikheil Saakashvili. It was stated by the journalist and the City Council Deputy Dmytro Hordon on air of the TV channel 112 Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports.
“Today, Mikheil Saakashvili is the last hope of the Ukrainians. I say it with full understanding of what I’m talking about, because if he manages to restore order in the Odessa region, if we see no corruption, transparent Ministry of Internal Affairs, transparent Prosecutor’s Office, if we see [repaired – Ed.] roads, if we see attraction of investors, and I’m sure there will be investors. The day before yesterday, Andrei Illarionov, a former Putin’s adviser on economic policy, said that a lot of Russian investors wanted to come to the Odessa region and invest in Saakashvili.
I believe that the money and investments will go there, smuggling in the Odessa customs will be stopped. Ports and customs will be given to foreigners. Foreigners will do everything by law there, they will pay a lot of money to the budget of the Odessa region of Ukraine, which used to “pass by” the budget of the Odessa region and Ukraine. And when the residents of Odessa and all the people of Ukraine see the fruits, which can be obtained from the transparency of the public activities, then may be Ukraine will face success,” he said.
It should be recalled that earlier we wrote that Mikheil Saakashvili admitted that he and “his team” would receive salaries from the U.S. Department of State.
