NATO will reconsider the issue of granting Ukraine lethal weapon if Russia continues to violate the Minsk Agreement. It was reported by Lieutenant-General Stepan Poltorak, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, after the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in Brussels, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the press service of the department.
“During the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, all member countries of the Alliance strongly condemned violation of the Minsk agreements by the Russian Federation and confirmed the possibility of reviewing the issue of granting Ukraine lethal weapon if Minsk agreements were flagrantly violated by the aggressor country,” Poltorak said.
NATO member countries are going to assist in reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the trilateral meeting of Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine were discussed directions of farther cooperation on creation of the joint brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG. The first practical training of the brigade will be held next year.
