"Over the last year Russia had illegally annexed Crimea and, arming and sending the so-called separatists, it subjected Ukraine to aggression, which took the lives of more than 6 thousand people. Nearly 1,5 million people were forced to flee their homes. The responsibility for this rests with Russia," said Lofven.
The diplomat stressed that Russia's use of force would never be repaid and would not find support and understanding in Europe.
It should be recalled that Prime Minister of Sweden Lofven is visiting Ukraine. Today he held talks with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
In addition, according to Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Svyatoslav Tsegolko, the meeting of Poroshenko and Lofven was attended by Mustafa Dzhemilev. "We talked about arrests and human rights violations in occupied Crimea," Tsegolko quotes Poroshenko.
