"The sudden death of our fellow French nationals is a cause of immense sadness," reads the statement of the Elysee Palace.
The report of the Presidential Administration of France also says that among the victims there was a famous yachtswoman Florence Arthaud.
The total number of victims of the collision of two helicopters is 10 people: eight Frenchmen and two Argentinians.
The accident occurred on the night of March 10 near the town of Villa Castelli in the province of La Rioja. Two helicopters collided in the process of filming a reality show 'Dropped' for the French television channel TF1, which focused on survival in extreme conditions. The plane crash killed the participants of the reality show and the film crew. No one survived after the tragedy. The cause of the accident has not yet been established. According to eyewitnesses, the helicopters exploded in the air.
