"I welcome the truce. It is fragile, but it seems to be respected," he said at a press conference in Paris.
NATO Secretary General expressed the hope that the truce would be a starting point for further long-term political solution to the crisis. He supported the efforts of France in fulfillment of this task.
"It is important that all parties fulfill their part of the agreement," said Jens Stoltenberg.
"It is important that Russia-backed separatists not take advantage of the current pause to prepare a new offensive. All heavy weapons should be withdrawn in accordance with the Minsk agreements," NATO Secretary General said.
Jens Stoltenberg expressed the hope that the OSCE observers in eastern Ukraine would have full access to all areas of interest to them to be able to effectively monitor compliance with the cease-fire process of withdrawal of heavy weapons and compliance with the agreement signed in Minsk.
