The Army of Poland will help the Ukrainian soldiers to polish up their skills and knowledge. The Polish experts will help training the Ukrainian soldiers and officers at the proving grounds Desna and Yavoriv, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the Polish news agency Rzeczpospolita.
This statement was made by General Boguslaw Pacek, the head of NATO program on assisting Ukraine in implementing military reform.
He noted that Poland would take the final decision next month. According to him, Ukraine has requested NATO countries to help in training military personnel and Warsaw is likely to agree to participate in this.
Pacek suggests that Poland can send five military instructors and dozens of experts to Ukraine. The specialists will train the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the proving grounds Desna in the Chernihiv region and Yavoriv in the Lviv region. Probably, there will be training of military personnel of the international military division LITPOLUKRBRIG, Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade.
It should be recalled that after a long conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski said there was a chance to resolve the issue regarding UN peacekeepers' presence in eastern Ukraine.
"Ukraine can count on our support in the decision to send the UN peacekeeping forces if Ukraine submits the request. It is a difficult question, because introduction of peacekeeping forces has sense only when the truce is observed, but when there is a war, sending military becomes a difficult task. After a long conversation with President Petro Poroshenko, the details of which I do not want now to announce, I believe that it is possible to resolve this issue by sending peacekeeping forces," Komorowski said.
