Munich Institute of Contemporary History (Münchener Institut für Zeitgeschichte, IfZ) intends to publish Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" ('My Struggle') with scientific comments in early January 2016. So far, the book has not been published in the Federal Republic of Germany. Its distribution was forbidden too. But at the end of 2015, 70 years after Hitler's death, the term of copyright expires. Therefore, after much debate, it was decided to publish 'Mein Kampf' providing it with relevant comments, DW news agency reports.
The two-volume edition of the book has about two thousand pages, told Magnus Brechtken, Deputy Director of the Munich Institute. 780 pages out of 2,000 are the original text of Hitler's inflammatory book, which includes 27 chapters. The rest of the edition is made up of about five thousand scientific comments and notes, as well as the introduction and index. The project for the publication of "Mein Kampf" has been going on for several years and is nearing completion.
