In Kyiv, there were formed three special teams to counter terrorist threats, said Oleksandr Tereshchuk, Ukrainian Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs during today's briefing, Joinfo.ua reports.
"In order to prevent possible terrorist threats we have prepared three armor piercing groups of fully armed police officers with all special equipment in order to prevent a terrorist attack," Tereshchuk said.
According to him, these special groups will work during the events dedicated to the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred.
Tereshchuk notes that the group consists of 15 "specially trained people" – snipers, explosives experts and other professionals.
"These groups will act immediately if there is received information about a man with a grenade or a gun," he said.
