Antonov design bureau (part of the Ukrainian state-owned concern Ukroboronprom) signed a contract with Canadian Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) on supply of cockpit avionics, Joinfo.ua reports citing the press service of the Ukroboronprom.
Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) will supply cockpit avionics for AN-124 transport aircraft, as well as the An-148/158/178 aircrafts, according to the two contracts signed by the management of the Ukrainian concern and Esterline CMC Electronics during Farnborough Air Show in the UK.
Under the terms of the first contract, Esterline CMC Electronics will supply the CMA-9000 (FMS) flight control system, the GPS sensors and CMA-5024 multi-function display in the dual configuration of MFD-2068 for the AN-124 aircraft upgrade. The second contract provides a flight management system CMA-9000, as well as the multi-function display MFD-3068 for the production of the An-148/158/178 for commercial and military purposes.
“We are very proud of the fact that Antonov has selected our avionics systems for this family of aircrafts. This is a confirmation of our core expertise in navigation systems,” – said the president of Esterline CMC Electronics Michel Potvin.
It should be recalled that Canadian Canadore College and the National Aviation University of Ukraine signed an agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation within the framework of the Canadian-Ukrainian Free Trade Area Agreement. The parties will cooperate in pilot training and aviation research.
