Ukrainian trade volume declined by a third in 2015
Despite the drop in exports and imports, the trade balance of Ukraine has increased by a quarter

According to the State Statistics Ministry, the surplus of foreign trade of Ukraine in January-September 2015 reached $737 million, which is 27.7% more than $577.3 million in the same period 2014, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to Korrespondent.

According to the Ministry, in January-September 2015, compared to the same period of the last year, volume of exports of goods from Ukraine decreased by 32.7% – to $28,1 billion, volume of import – by 33.6% – to $27,4 billion. The export/ import ratio is 1,03 (in January-September 2014 – 1,01). Foreign trade operations in this period were carried out with partners from 212 countries of the world.

Exports of goods to the EU countries declined by 32,9% – $9,2 billion, which is 32,9% of total exports.

Imports of goods from EU countries during this period decreased by 28,2% – to $11,2 billion, or 40,7% of total imports.

The volume of exports of goods to Russia in January-September 2015, compared to the same period of 2014, decreased by 55.6% – to $3,6 billion. The volume of imports during this period decreased by 47.9% – to $5,5 billion.

The data are presented excluding temporarily occupied Crimea and the area of ATO.

It should be recalled that yesterday during the G20 summit, Russia has proposed to postpone the payment of Ukraine’s debt for 2016-2018 years, $ 1 billion a year.
