Gazprom gives up and increases volume of transit of natural gas through Ukraine to EU almost by 20%

The Russian energy company Gazprom increases the volume of transit of natural gas to its European customers through Ukraine, and today it filed a request for 229 million cubic meters, which is 19% more compared to the same date in 2014, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the state company Ukrtransgaz.

“Compared to the same date last year the volume of transportation of natural gas to Europe has increased by 19%, as of this morning the daily mode of transportation is 229 million cubic meters. For comparison: the same date last year, the transit was 185 million cubic meters,” said Maksim Belyavsky, the press secretary of Ukrtransgaz.

According to him, from July 1 to July 4, Europe received 904 million cubic meters through the Ukrainian gas transport system.
